Follow locally grown fruits and veggies from where they start - Riverside Farms in Elk River, to H. Brooks Produce processing facility where it is washed and cut, and finally to the Hopkins School District where students and educators enjoy these fresh fruits and vegetables! Participants in this tour will also receive professional development on Mobile (phone/tablet) Video Production. Troy McKay, Digital Medial Instructor at the University of Minnesota will provide equipment, training and guidance for teacher tour participants to record, edit and produce a digital story of their experience on this tour. The skills and information learned will be easily transferrable to K-12 classroom instruction and learning.
